The Field Officer is a member of the Sure Start Project, and along with other members of the district team is responsible to achieve the deliverables of the Sure Start Project in the assigned Blocks. Field officer will be based in the district and manage execution in their allotted blocks. The Field Officer will work under the supervision and guidance of the State Project Manager and Project Officer and be responsible for execution of the Sure Start Implementation phase activities in the allotted Blocks. The FO will report to the State Project Officer.
Major Responsibilities and Tasks
Responsible for successful execution of all implementation phase activities as per DIP in allocated blocks.
Act as resource persons in the training and ongoing capacity-building activities at field level
Responsible for managing financial partnerships with NGOs in the allotted blocks
Responsible for Coordinating with consortium partners in allotted blocks.
Liaison with the block level and district level officials to facilitate engagement of NRHM, RCH and other Governance systems to facilitate implementation of Sure start interventions
Regularly monitor the program progress by collecting and analyzing data from various sources of the program monitoring system of Sure start and facilitate action by systems
Design, Implement and Assess Behavior Change Communication activities on Sure Start interventions across program areas in the assigned blocks.
Coordinate the capacity building plan of counterpart staff and field level workers of consortium member
Responsible for conducting qualitative studies to understand the factors influencing health behavior, which affects maternal and newborn health.
Conduct a capacity assessment of potential consortium members for supporting implementation
Responsible for the development of a resource data bank of professional bodies and health service facilities in the blocks/district to make best use of technical and programming expertise available and maintain regular interface with them.
Work closely with the DT member of INHP team for the smooth implementation of program activities.
Responsible for accurate and timely submission of all the reports to state office.
Masters degree in social work, sociology, rural management, health management or related disciplines
At least 2-3 years of experience in community-based public health programs
Experience of working with NGOs, CBOs and PRIs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Leadership and team building skills
Sensitive to gender and diversity issues
Proficiency in computer for using MS-Office in Windows environment
Proficiency in verbal and written communication on English and Hindi
Ability to work in team
