An educational resource center is developed to provide training support and develop learning material, for CARE education programs.
This resource centers’ primary training responsibility will be for training of trainers and teachers of formal schools, KGBV and alternative schools. It will also develop module and materials for trainers/teachers and children. The resource center is located in Lucknow, it will provide support to CARE program in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. The resource center will also undertake training of CARE India staff, as per requirement.
The Training Coordinator will primarily be responsible for planning and conducting training and develop materials for capacity building.
Major Responsibilities & Tasks
Identify emerging training needs of the teachers and supervisors of schools, KGBV, Udaan or other alternatives and develop training plan, in consultation with other team members. Conduct training for the program participants as per need in an experiential manner, building on the learner centered methodology.
2. Material Development
Design appropriate training modules, reading materials for the teachers, project staff and NGO functionaries in consultation with Senior Technical Specialist in CIHQ. Develop learning material for children as per emerging needs. Contribute to the development of manuals, other material as required by CIHQ. Ensure documentation of training and workshops.
• Contribute towards the over all strategy development of the program
• Contribute to researches and studies as and when required.
• Prepare observation reports of class teaching, training or material review as per need.
Graduate degree in education or social sciences
Minimum 3 years of experience in providing technical support to teachers, supervisors.
- Understanding of learner centered teaching methodology.
- Creative in developing materials for children and teachers.
- Ability to conduct training of teachers and teacher supervisors.
- Sensitive to issues of girls’ education, gender, rights and diversity issues.
- Ability to work in team.
