Trickle Up is a overseas Development Agency, having its head Office at New York, USA & working in Burkina Faso & Mali in West Africa; Ethiopia & Uganda in East Africa; Guatemala & Nicaragua in Central America & India & Nepal in Asia.
Trickle up empowers people living less than $ 1 a day to take the first step out of poverty, providing them with a resource to build micro-enterprises for a better quality of life. In partnership with local agencies, we provide business training & seed capital grants of about $ 100 to stabilize their livelihood by launching or expanding a micro enterprise, as well as savings support to build assets.
Trickle Up is seeking a qualified, experienced professional to work as Program Officer to be based at Kolkata, West Bengal.

Location Kolkata, West Bengal
Reports to Asia Regional Representative, India.


Job description:

Responsibilities:

Program Management
Coordinating all programmatic activities of the Trickle Up Program
Support Monitoring work of other staff in this program and assist them in achieving their targets.
Monitoring the databases that are kept with the program, verifying the authenticity of data, analyzing the data and preparing reports.
Financial reporting for projects.
Liaise with partners and provide support in the preparation and implementation of their program plans, as appropriate to each partner;
Ensure that programs are aligned with Trickle Up Program strategy.
Develop successful networking partnerships with NGOs, and governmental organizations for achieving project objectives.
Support the maintenance of project files and correspondence with project partners;
Represent Trickle Up at assigned meetings and to prepare minutes or reports.


Monitoring and Evaluation
Conduct regular monitoring visits, follow up, and evaluation of grants, analyze project information and recommend appropriate actions as necessary.
Prepare written reports of monitoring visits and evaluations.
Track and report on impact as appropriate.
Ensure the follow up and timely submission of reports, including financial reports by project partners as required

Training
Organize and conduct training, workshops as related to projects.

Fundraising
Develop project proposals for funding support, implement specific projects under this program, prepare interim and final reports for donors.
Liaise with potential donors in coordination with the funding team to raise fund for implementation of the regional program

Qualifications:

Masters in Social Work, Rural Development, Management, Agriculture, Bachelors degree in Engineering, Vetenary services and seven to eight years experience in livelihood sector.
Working experience in planning and implementing grassroots development projects
Proven ability to communicate skills and experience to others as a trainer, advisor, or consultant;
Experience with conference/seminar organization and facilitation;
Efficient management of team with good interpersonal skills would preferred
Prepared to undertake extensive travel in the region
Computer skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft packages like Word and Excel and Internet
Fluent and good command over verbal and written English language
Proven public speaking and presentation skills
Fundraising knowledge and experience would be a added advantage

Remuneration package: CTC- Rs. 5 - 6.0 lacs per anum, depending on the eligibility of the candidate.

Liaise with partners and provide support in the preparation and implementation of their program plans, as appropriate to each partner;
Support the development of the Trickle Up Program strategy in India
Develop successful working partnerships with regional and international NGOs, and governmental organizations
Support the maintenance of project files and correspondence with project partners;
Represent Trickle Up at assigned meetings and to prepare minutes or reports.

Monitoring and Evaluation
Conduct regular monitoring visits, follow up, and evaluation of grants, analyse projects, and recommend appropriate actions as necessary.
Prepare written reports of monitoring visits and evaluations.

Identify, develop, and write grant proposals for assigned partners
Liaise with potential donors in coordination with the funding team to raise fund for implementation of the regional programme

Qualifications:

Masters in Social Work or Rural Development and five years experience
Working experience in planning and implementing grassroots development projects
Proven ability to communicate skills and experience to others as a trainer, advisor, or consultant;
Experience with conference/seminar organization and facilitation;
Excellent staff management and interpersonal skills;
Prepared to undertake extensive travel in the region
Computer skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft packages like Word and Excel, accounting software, and Internet
Fluent and good command over verbal and written English language
Proven public speaking and presentation skills
Administrative experience is also required for proper implementation of programmatic work.
Fundraising knowledge and experience a plus
